the countdown begins.

The past four months have really flown by. I’ve spent my time working, laughing with friends/family, and most recently, vacationing in Vancouver, BC. A family from our YWAM team in Kona invited me to visit them, and I had enough air miles to redeem for a free RT ticket. Winning.

I knew the idea of leaving for Australia wouldn’t set in until the Caudle’s moved to Taiwan, but that day quickly approached and I saw them off through tears at the airport today. They are going to be such a light for the Lord in that place, and I’m excited to hear how He works through their family to reach His people. Two weeks from tomorrow, I’ll be back in the same airport, at the same time, with the same tears, eagerly awaiting the journey ahead. God is good.  I’m humbled by His provision, and I can’t help but smile in amazement when I think about His attention to every detail.

“Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! ‘For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?’ ‘Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?’ For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.” – Romans 11:33-36

Because posts without pictures are boring, here are some pictures from Vancouver and the Caudle’s send off. Enjoy!

  1. Hey girl heeeeey! You are very brave to get that close to a bear! I’m going to miss your stinky socks off, but it’s all worth it when you factor in the calling of the Lord and the lives that will be changed (including yours) because of your obedience. Love you!

  2. Anna is in my lap and Katelyn and Kristen at my side as we view this. We love it! So glad you got to see off the Cottles. Vancouver is gorgeous (and the bears a bit scary that close up). Know you had a great time.

  3. And you saw off the Caudle’s too. I did enjoy Vancouver when we visited there. The big mountain range scene is sure inviting. See you to see you off soon.

  4. Love that Charlee is sacked out in her carseat already! What a way to start the trip! Glad you had so much fun in Vancouver and even more glad that you are not in the stomach of a bear right now. 🙂
